A. Teachers communicate with parents in many ways. A curriculum journal in each classroom outlines what objectives were covered in areas such as language, math concepts, reading, music, drama, art, science and motor development. Parents can call each teacher's voice mail and hear a description of the day, learn of the progress made on projects and hear ideas that the parent may want to discuss with their child about the day's classroom activities. Each child also has a portfolio that stays with them throughout their Compass experience which is updated with digital photos, artwork, and other documentation to illustrate their learning, and is a record of their developmental milestones achieved each week. Parents can also view videotapes of projects and activities in the classroom each day for an additional connection with each child's experiences.

“Our teachers go out of their way to give us written communication of both daily activities and future-planned weeks, so we can help them make each experience even better. Excellent summaries of the lessons, so we can continue the work at home.” -Amy, Toddler Parent
